Go Home Baby Sister December 8, 2007

Go home baby sister, this boy will do you harm.
The rough edge of yesterday has yet to keep me warm,
My world, so worn.
I look for love. crave it, as human as I know.
But my path trails surely away from faith,
My world, so torn.
Go home baby sister, and see sadness slow.
Let those rough edges dim softly to a blur,
My world, so warm.

This poem feels so sad to me. It’s somber, and I think the tone of it is also despondent, laced with a thread of hope.
My heart is heavy…
It’s gorgeous. Linda
