Lusting and binging, are as sure as soft vanity… we bring them to eager lips, for they bring us to sanity, they stop us from drifting into depressing dark places, and they put fleeting smiles on our angelic faces.

One word, truth
Very Powerful
Makes me think of another pair of equally “eager lips”. That, or chocolate. ^_^
I must be missing something here because I feel like you are talking about anorexia/ bulimia here. The food they bring to their lips and how satisfied they are when they get rid of it. I am sorry if I didn’t get this right. Keep up the good work.
Have a nice day.
Michelle
michelle, its about vices/sins in general and the dichotomy of how we view them. an eating disorder would certainly apply well.
My first thought was the same as Michelle’s. I can see it applying to many things though.
It makes you think.
These words make me think of addictions; doing something we know we shouldn’t for the fleeting sense of satisfaction – until the next needed fix…;> A thoughtful piece..
Reminds me of how I used to be. And not just the eating disorder part.
