evilthick melting sky October 2, 2007

the sky dripped devilpure,
the heavens bled out bile
the natives rose from a resting pose,
jesting,
pleasure smiles,
to fill wide eyes
with a staggering rise
of black, unflinching sky.
blankets of inky heights
sat.
thin as floating kites,
blending oil and dye.
wet.
with a darkness of some weight,
heavy as still slate.
two gods knelt. tender.
over gentle earth. surrendered.
rage swept swift, open sky ripped.
Horror echoed off splendor.
daylight doused the heavens’ edge
as dark blight stole all light,
lovers devour, mortal mates spread
rendered beneath soft night.
an evilthick melting sky
sat above unsure beasts
twobacked soles
filling empty holes
as hell fell from the east

This is great ! You ought to post under your name on other writing sites so that a wider audience can enjoy the poems.
devilure and evilthick- what great wordsmashing.
Dark.
I quite like dark.
You’re quickly becoming a guilty pleasure.

Powerful selection of words. Stay inspired!
Dark and foreboding this evilthick, devilpure melting sky as hell fell from the east, great last line, Jak. Excellent wordsmithing. Kudos and a cartwheel for you, mon!
I may be way off here but, the movie Apocalypto comes to mind. I really liked this one. It was dark and foreboding.
Have a nice day.

Strong. Riveting. Makes my pulse race a bit. ^_^
My first time here, and I’ve certainly been enjoying even your previous posts. Like “Nights of Plenty ” (stark, like “Evilthick Melting Sky”), “Feminine Feist” (witty), and “Be Gracious” (with words crafted in a way similar to “Evilthick…”).
Cheers.
