i am patience.
a will to breathe,
to seize… the calm,
free of calamity,
full of ease,
prolonged.
i am patience,
living to please,
to tease… glory,
free from envy,
hoping she sees
my story.
i am patience,
a filling tree,
to flee… the earth,
free of full roots,
looking to be
since birth.
i am patience.

‘Patience is a bitter seed but, its fruit is sweet.’ I really enjoyed your poem. Keep up the good work. Thanks for dropping by today. Have a nice day.

I don’t have much patience but somehow I have to practice the virtue. I know you won’t be surprised with my favorite part on this one:
i am patience,
living to please,
to tease….
very good. Stay inspired!
It is not something we achieve overnight. It’s a virtue we learn over time. All the precious and finest things in this world went through the long process of refinement. Patience propels us to carry on. The reward is perfection.
I wish you well ~ Jeques
This is well done. That third line is killer, the rhymes are breezy, relaxed and sensical. Good lines and breaks. Well, well done like i said firstly.
So very beautiful..upon reading this wonderful piece the song “Be” from Jonathon Livingston Seagull came to mind..it would make wonderful background music.
Well done!
This reminds me of ‘The Fountain’…a beautiful thought-provoking poem and a beautiful thought-provoking film :)
Very easy to read… rolls right off the tongue, lovely.
Beautiful. Seizing the calm, remembering how big the world is, how much is yet to be. Glad we’ve connected. I’m inspired.
What a beautiful poem. It really made me “feel” the words–you put the sentiment into beautiful prose. Inspiring!
beautiful. I can’t say more.
I just started my blog “Poetry Muse” this weekend. Thanks for stopping by already! Your entire “Journey With No Anchor” is beautiful! I love how you free your soul so easily, so peacefully in so many poems.
Much Success and Happy Fall:)
