Harmony Hinges August 21, 2007

vibrations of voice, echo pure to a beat,
rhythms rejoice, a sound bound to the streets
there is a right to be heard,
to sing,
to bring,
sweet things,
to ears that need stirred,
to minds that need spurred,
to sink audacity
beneath the brink…
our capacity
to think
about each enchanting word
beyond the reach of fetching birds
harmony hinges on the subtle
the few
splashing bravado in puddles
of hue
there is a right to be heard.

i like the line “splashing bravado in puddles” a lot. “harmony hinges on the subtle.” beautiful.
what a beautifully visual poem, my colleague and I love it…
“there is a right to be heard.”.. Sometimes you yell and just you hear your voice.. Sometimes you whisper and all world hear you.. What’s wrong with us?
When i read the lines of your poem, i remember all of those times i have many words in my heart to say, but i can not say..
Thank you, I enjoyed :)
Thanks very much for your lovely comment on my blog. This poem, being the first thing I read today apart from a couple of work-related emails and blog comments, has put me in a fabulous mood. I was at an event last night where everyone was talking about how everything is so safe and no-one publicly says anything of meaning or importance any more, so this poem fits with my mood perfectly :-)
That is lovely! :)
Ooo… I like this a lot.
